What to Expect
“Whether therefore ye eat, or drink, or whatsoever ye do, do all to the glory of God.”
Calvary Bible Church has one goal and that is to bring glory to God. We try to do this by:
Bible Teaching & Preaching
“So then faith cometh by hearing, and hearing by the word of God.”—Romans 10:17
While the foundation of our society have lost their anchor, God’s Word provides a solid foundation. At Calvary Bible Church, we strive to encourage and edify the believer. We do this with our Bible-teaching Sunday School class for all ages by preaching God’s Word from the pulpit every Sunday and Wednesday.
“Let the word of Christ dwell in you richly in all wisdom; teaching and admonishing one another in psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, singing with grace in your hearts to the Lord. And whatsoever ye do in word or deed, do all in the name of the Lord Jesus, giving thanks to God and the Father by him.”—Colossians 3:16-17
Music is an integral part of our worship. We strive to worship God with Christ-honoring music that teaches doctrinal truths and glorifies the Lord.
“That which we have seen and heard declare we unto you, that ye also may have fellowship with us: and truly our fellowship is with the Father, and with his Son Jesus Christ.”—1 John 1:3
At Calvary Bible Church, every Sunday we have a potluck fellowship for all those who would like to participate between our Sunday morning and afternoon services. It is not only the best meal in town, but it is opportunity for God’s people to encourage each other.
Laborers for the Lord
“I have planted, Apollos watered; but God gave the increase. So then neither is he that planteth any thing, neither he that watereth; but God that giveth the increase. Now he that planteth and he that watereth are one: and every man shall receive his own reward according to his own labour. For we are labourers together with God: ye are God’s husbandry, ye are God’s building”.—1 Corinthians 3:6-9
The Lord Jesus Christ gave his church a commission to proclaim the gospel in their community and throughout the world. It is our desire to obey His command. Every member of the Calvary Bible Church family is encouraged to find their place of service in the Lord’s work.
